A Workshop on Womanhood: Integral Development and Personality in modern world, career and life

Womanhood: ‘Integral Development and Personality in modern world, career and life’ was the key point of the resource person Dr. K. Parmeshwaran, the Dean in Gujarat National Law University at Gandhinagar. The workshop was held in assembly hall at Sarvanaman Vidya Mandir, Bharuch on Saturday, 22nd June, 2013 between 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm.

The workshop was split into three sessions.

The first session was attended by grades IX to XII students where he discussed about four integral portions of human being i.e. Mind, Heart, Body and Strength while the main source from which these all four come into survival is the SOUL. He added that the perfect coordination and integration of all these four portions can lead to the perfect womanhood. Whatever one becomes scientist, doctor, engineer or teacher, the ultimate purpose is to serve the humanity with the great capacity, ability and skill was his finishing statement.

In the second session of teachers, he touched the point of ‘Teaching and Teachers’ as the Golden Bridge among past, present and future. Along with that he enveloped the role of teacher and its significance in the life of student and in the field of teaching. He very visibly explained the purpose of education is to comprehend the true reality around us and the ultimate reality within ourselves. He very thoughtfully expressed that Science explores reality from outer part while Religion within.

The third session was on International Law as a career option for students. He informed the students that law bridges the gap between problems and solutions and is a very lucrative option. It was an interactive session as students asked many questions regarding Law as a course of studies.

Thus, the workshop was concluded very productively with a great gaining of knowledge and understanding for both teachers as well as students.

SVM Rocks with 100% Results of Class XII and Class X Board Examinations

The school met to its rich tradition of presenting 100% results of the students taking Class XlI and Class X Board Examinations. The consistent hard work by the students under the guidance of the teachers, Didis’ and the blessings from His Divine Holiness Hariprasad Swamiji, the Class 10^th and 12^th   students have achieved 100% board results. Nevertheless, the school had the soaring number of students securing 80% and above in XII Science and Commerce. While three students scored more than overall 90%, many students secured more than 90 marks in individual subjects. Students of Class X came out with same brilliance of 100% result and as many as five students scored 10 CGPA. The school congratulates the achievers and at the same time vows for perking up with excellent results in the following years.

Magical Experiments Spark Student’s Curiosity

Science teaches children to make observations, collect information and to use logical thinking to draw a conclusion. It fuels the curiosity and provides children with valuable ideas and skills. ‘Kalpana’ - The Science Club of the school organized a series of experiments demonstrated by the science teachers on 12^th April 2013 giving opportunities to students of Class II to VI observe scientific phenomena. The science teachers demonstrated some of the amazing and fascinating experiments like boiling water in a newspaper cup, tossing the coin in the glass without touching it, working of periscope, an example of optical illusion, making thermocol disappear and many others. The students were benefitted with increased interest in science and scientific experiments. 

ICT Creativity Inter House Competition 2012-13

The screens of the 35 monitors of the computer lab of the school were glittering with marvels created by the students of the school as they participated in ICT Creative Inter-house Competition on 7^th & 8^th February, 2013. The tender hands generated wonders in application of creative software and the Animated Stories, PowerPoint Presentations, Poster Slides, and many others were heralding the talent of the students. The designs of ‘Book Cover’ and video clips on celebrities pronounced the higher level of skills ingrained by the secondary students. Indeed, the students, through their creative products, gave clear indication that they are keeping pace with the technology that advances with a lightning speed.
