In
accordance with the principle of learning through self-experience, a visit to

Students visited Akanksha Paper Mill
located at Ankleshwar as they were working for a project on ‘Application of
Principles of Management’. Students had conducive interview with two of the

discover how principles of management are applied at ground level. Students

Science Students Create Gizmos in Lab
Confidence
was at its fullest and excitement was sky high when students of class 12
(Science) gave a final touch to their creations in physics laboratory. While
the pair of Kruti Patel and Shivani Patel worked out a well-functioning Telescope,
Nipa Patel and Riya Patel successfully created ‘A.C. to D.C. Converter’. While
Aeni Prajapati prepared and shaped a Voltage Stabilizer, three of the students-
Bhoomi Patel, Disha Patel and Hetashree Patel
put their theoretical knowledge in to practice as they designed and built
out ‘Logic gates’. Yet other two
students - Tanvi Jariwala and Angelina Fernandis came out with their experiment-based
report on ‘Effect of Concentraion of Electrolyte on Conduction’.
At
SVM, care is taken that the students have formed worthy habit of practicing
what they are taught. Independent creation of working gizmos like Telescope,
Volatage Stabilizer and Rectifier by the students illustrates the strong and
most desirable bond of theory and practice.

Tour to Hyderabad (Class VIII to XII)
Hyderabad,
"south to the north of India and north of southern India", is often
referred to as the "Gateway to the South". A range of experiences
were awaiting for the students as the school arranged for tour to Hyderabad for
the students of Class VIII to XII. The six-day tour took the students to
hilarious heights with all sorts of fun and frolic. Students enjoyed
everything- the 22 hours train journey, visiting
worth seeing places, stay at seven star hotel and different dishes of food. At
Ramoji Film Studio, they were more than thrilled finding themselves very close
to film-making technology. They were storming with the snow at Snow Park but
assumed seriousness of an archeologist when observing fort of Gol Kanda.
The
students shared their own reflections on the city on their return to the
school. Hyderabad is the city where food becomes a landmark. Students had a
good lesson from the tour to Hyderabad: to retain what is good and move on with
life; that is something everybody need to learn.
