Republic Day Celebrations and Annual Sports Meet

It was a pleasant blend of feelings of patriotism and sportsmanship when the school celebrated nation’s 64^th Republic Day. In the morning, the chief guest Mr. Amit Dave- Manager, GNFC, unfurled the Tricolour and paid his salute tuned with National Anthem. In the presence of the chief guest and the guest of honour- Mr. J. C. Vyas, the students presented a short cultural programme preceded by rhythmic March Past. While Patriotic songs presented by the students reminded us of the great martyrs and freedom fighters, the musical skit made the audience to have a sensitive probe into issue of discrimination and violence against women in India.

A range of athletics events followed the flag hoisting ceremony. The scenario was truly vibrant as all the students of the school were participants of various sports events and all enthusiastic enough to win! The team events made cheerleaders’ role significant and feeling of belongingness for the respective houses was distinctly apparent. The Annual Sports Meet lasted for two days giving the students as well as the teachers many heart-throbbing moments.

In the evening of January 27, the winners of the sports events were given away awards and medals - making them feel proud for their achievements.
