Ganeshotsav Celebration

Ganesh Chaturthi is celebrated all across the nation. Lord Ganesha is widely worshipped as the god of wisdom, prosperity and good fortune and traditionally invoked at the beginning of any new venture or challenge.
In SVM, on the very first day of Ganesh Chaturthi, the majestic idol of Lord Ganesha was installed and rituals were performed with reverence in a greatly decorated temple of the assembly hall. Various slogans along with the bits of drums were offered in praise of Lord Ganesha.  Every evening, Aarti with Diya in decorative and colorful plates was the most awaiting ceremony for the students.
On September 13, the fifth day after the installation, the idol of Lord Ganesha was taken out for immersion.  After performing Puja and Aarti, the teachers held the idol with awe in a grand procession to Narmada Ghat of Nilkantheswar Temple, followed by a band of musician of students with entire SVM family. The students spoke out aloud the ‘Jay Naad’ and ‘Ganpati Bapa Moriya’, to welcome the lord Ganesha for the next year thinking all of His holy qualities.
Where did these five days of celebration go by, nobody knew it…that was the holy charisma of the festival.

Teachers’ Day Celebration

Teachers' Day is celebrated as a tribute to the valuable contribution made by teachers to the society by imparting knowledge and enlightening the lives of students. For students, Teachers' Day is an occasion to pay reverence and gratitude to teachers for their selfless service in shaping the career and enriching the education system.
On 5th September 2013, as expected in SVM, the entire event was very flawlessly well thought-out by the students of grade XI to celebrate Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan’s birthday.
The ceremony kicked off with a traditional way that includes presenting colorful flowers and pretty Teachers' Day cards as tokens of respect and admiration by grade XII students. The occasion went on with a presentation showing the bond of teachers with students followed by various fun activities like GK quiz and riddles especially for teachers that made the event extremely special and memorable.
Principal Mr. Govind Borade put in plain words how important the role of teacher is in the life of students. The grade XII students took the charge of the staffroom as well as the school building and experienced the responsibility of it. SVM Bhoolkas paid reverence to H.D.H. Hariprasad Swamiji being a great Teacher who not only teaches and guides but also inspires and leads us from darkness towards light…
