It takes discipline and constant re-writing to see
what should stay in a short story and what can be re-phrased or left out. Every
word counts and every word must earn its place. SVM organized An Inter
House Story Building Competition for the classes std I to V. The young writers
were at their best to show their writing talents. All the stories pleasantly
surprised the judges by one or the other creative superiority of our writers. The
toughest job for our judges was to find winners from these beautiful creative
works. For the teachers, like all stories were winners.
