Math Wizard Competition
was organized on 10th April 2015 for the class II to VI in the
respective classes and for std. VII to X in the assembly hall. The students had
to dodge multiplication tables mentally and write the answer. There were 3
rounds in all, Round 1 consisting of tables and its duration was 90 seconds. Round
2 consisting of addition, subtraction and basic math’s facts lasted for 60
seconds and Round 3 of 60 seconds consisted challenging math facts.
Each consecutive round was
more challenging than the previous. Every student participated in all three
rounds. There were three different categories of results. Rank 1, 2, 3 class
wise, Rank 1, 2, 3, 4 house-class wise and Rank 1, 2, 3, 4 house wise.
The objectives behind this
competition are.....
- To encourage the students in dodging the multiplication tables mentally
- To perform basic four operations mentally
- To remember other basic facts of maths
- To enhance their interest in maths.
The students participated
with utmost zeal and interest.
