Guru
Purnima is a day when we pay obeisance to the lifeline of this great, unbroken
civilization of India - the Guru-Shisya Parampara. The celebration named as “Guru
Sharan”, commenced with the classical dance ‘Athah-shree’ followed by Shloka - Mantra-Pushpanjali
and Poojan of Shree Thakorji as well as P. Swamiji. Students expressed their
gratitude and respect for their teachers and mentor didis by performing Guru
Poojan. A classical bhajan and recitations of shlokas dedicating to the
religious guru resounded with a union of devotional chants. The skit on ‘The Importance
of Guru’ was performed extensively. The dance act depicting Guru Bhakti was the
notable piece at closing stage of the event. Students took hold of a very vital
significance of being extremely faithful towards Guru’s commands and directions
after being blessed and inspired by the Guruhari P.P. Hariprasad Swamiji’s
Amrutvaani.
