Aarti is very significant ritual in Indian
religious practices. The word Aarti is derived from the Sanskrit word
ārātrika, which means something that removes rātrī – darkness. With the
aim of enrooting the students with Indian culture and traditions, the school
held Aarti Decoration competition on 3rd September, 2017 for
the classes VII to XI. The students of each class worked in House-groups to
decorate the plates of Aarti with their creative ideas thus producing
awesome designs and enchanting impressions. Students’ work was assessed on the
merits of colour combination, creativity and content relevance.
