Janmashtmi Celebration

The birth of Krishna is celebrated with gusto across the nation but Sarvanman Vidya Mandir has its own rituals for the day. For the students of this school, no effort seems enough when it comes to serving the lord. The day before, Inter-House Matki Decoration competition was held and students decorated their pots exploring their creative talent. The evening of Janmashtmi was marked with a wonderful song presented by students of class XI and a graceful dance by students of class VII, VIII and IX. The ‘Matkifod’ ceremony & competition followed the speech by Mrs. Prachi Pandey on the significance of the day.  The male teachers and house-keeping staff also ventured for ‘Matikifod’ whereafter prasad was distributed to all.
