Annual Sports Meet 2011-12

One could have visualize energy and enthusiasm floating around throughout the school campus as students exhibit their high spirits in the Annual Sports Meet organized on January 27-28, 2012. None of the students of the school was left behind to represent at least one event and the feeling of belongingness for respective house was at its climax. Two days sports meet witnessed a range of events in athletics as well as team-sports. Kabbadi, Kho-Kho, 30 mt Dash, Jalebi Race, Back Run, Tug of War, Three Leg Running, Cross Country, Duck Walk, Volleyball, Balloon run, Circuit Run, Potato Race, Get Ready for School, Sack Run, Choco Run, Frog Jump, Shuttle Run, Discuss Throw, Shot Put, Relay Run,  Cricket ball throw,  Obstacle Run,  Together to Win and many more gave opportunities to the students to show their valour. The opening ceremony deserves special mention as it was marked by school flag hoisting followed by graceful March Pass and wonderful choral-patterns formed by the students by skillful placement and motion.

Instrument Playing Competition

Along with singing and dancing, one more very significant skill that the SVM students are learning is - playing sophisticated instruments. When it comes to play advance instruments like Congo, Octopod, Tablas, large key-board and many others, it indeed becomes rare sight to watch all the instruments played by girls. The judges remarked on this unique feature of the school as they assessed the performances participants of Instrument Playing Competition organized on January 26, 2012. Adjudged on the parameters of tune and rhythm, the results are as given below:

Republic Day Celebration

Youth is always a great strength of any nation and schools have great responsibility to bring up the youth of nation with strong feelings of patriotism. Sarvanaman Vidya Mandir always remains keen to inculcate, nurture and enhance all the required characteristics among the students at its care. The celebration of nation’s 63rd Republic Day, marked with strong patriotic feelings, evidently supports the school’s commitment towards inculcation of values. Uniformly dressed students sang in tune of National Anthem as the chief guest unfurled the flag. Shivangi of class VIII shared her feelings as well as concerns for the nation while a senior teacher –Dr. Nilkanth Giri presented analysis of nation’s development. The skating dance performed by students of class VII and VIII added a feather to the show.

Group Singing Competition & Welcoming New Year-2012

Celebrating the end of passing year, a Group Singing Competition for Class I to X was held in the school on the evening of December 31, 2011. It turned mesmerizing musical evening as students presented choicest songs with sweatiest voice accompanied by rhythm of drums and tune of keyboard. Audience enjoyed a wide range of lyrics while participants gained a sense of recognition of their talent. In the late evening, a Talent Show was also organised to celebrate the Eve of 31st December and welcome the New Year-2012.
