Students of middle school shouldered the responsibility of whole of the programme and displayed their enthusiasm towards nurturing the language that has potentiality to unite all Indians.

Inspiring talk by AVM Principal - Dr. Vijay Patel
The
School arranged for an allocution for which Mr. Vijay Patel, the principal of
Atmiya Vidya Mandir, was invited as the resource person. The allocution empowered all the participants
immensely by equipping them with wholesome ideas to make teaching enriching,
interesting and above all, heart-reaching, adding an embellishing edge to
explore bhagwad - divine - avenues of teaching. The allocution also
served as a potent platform to the teachers to adopt noble ways of conduct
while teaching the students. The heart-reaching approaches will go a long way
in creating divine teaching – learning situations in the class rooms.

Inter-house Aarti making Competition
Aarti is very significant ritual in Indian
religious practices. The word Aarti is derived from the Sanskrit word
ārātrika, which means something that removes rātrī – darkness. With the
aim of enrooting the students with Indian culture and traditions, the school
held Aarti Decoration competition on 3rd September, 2017 for
the classes VII to XI. The students of each class worked in House-groups to
decorate the plates of Aarti with their creative ideas thus producing
awesome designs and enchanting impressions. Students’ work was assessed on the
merits of colour combination, creativity and content relevance.

Teacher’s Day Celebration
The
School celebrated Teacher’s day on 5th September 2017 keeping loyal
to the tradition. The day started with the assembly where student-teachers
greeted the teachers with wonderful gifts and greeting cards. The assembly was
in complete command of the students and they indeed displayed their skills of
event management. Students gracefully interwove the significance of the day
with entertaining programme including an inspiring video on teacher’s role. The
students of class XII who also played role of teachers of the day, were offered
greeting cards by the students of class XI. The assembly concluded with the
speech of Principal Mr. Govind Borade. Thereafter, according to the planning, the
students-teachers led the students to classes and taught the lessons. The significant
part of the day was to get blessings from the members of the management.

Hindi Comic Strip Writing Competition (II- V)
The comic strip competition incorporates
characters to help young people to create their own stories about some morals
and share messages without making it personal. Hindi Comic Strip Writing Competition
was organized for the students of Class II and III on September 1,
2017. It was amazing to see the young students creating wonders using
their imagination. They planned the comic strip keeping in mind the setting,
characters and the plot. The students showcased their creativity and enjoyed
doing the activity at the same time.

Hindi Elocution Competition (VIII – X)
Elocution is one of the academic activities that give the students creative room to express what they feel. An inter house elocution competition was organized for the students of classes VI to X. The representatives of all the houses spoke vehemently on the issue and came up with their perspective regarding the same. They cited reasons and supported them with the suitable examples from real life to justify their stand. The audience sitting in the auditorium was deeply engrossed in the ideas of the students. The judges assessed the performance on the basis of fluency, content and voice modulation.
