Inter-house Drama Competition

Dramatics is one of the essential skills that students have to develop for adequate grooming of their personality. It requires excellent co-ordination, ability to transcend into different personality and distinct expressions through which the concept and effect is transferred to the spectators. The school organized an inter-house drama competition on 19^th August, 2017 where students of all the four houses displayed their dramatic skills. The four dramas presented subsequently on the theme of Women Empowerment unfolded the multifold role played by women and her multidimensional contribution towards society. The spectators were made to ponder over the prevalent gaps in understanding the potential and position of women in our society.

Inter House Poster Making Competition

Social Science is a subject which is better learnt by doing rather than reading. And hence, on the evening of 18^th of August, students of the classes VI to X, representing their Houses, came to the school auditorium to participate in a poster -making competition.

The students had brought in a variety of ideas in their creative minds. They were provided with white sheets and colours to put their ideas on work. The creative hands got to work and within the stipulated time they came out with some innovative works of art which were very interesting incorporating various themes together. Themes for the competition were related to topics of Social Sciences as the water cycle, the structure of earth, the solar system, saving environment and so on.

Janmashtmi Celebration

Krishna Janmashtami was celebrated with sheer enthusiasm at the school. The morning assembly partook an air of Krishna spirit. Soul-touching speeches and a video clip displayed did remind to the spectators the importance of ‘Janmashtmi’ and its place in Indian social fabric and cultural texture. Competitions like Matki Decoration marked the jovial spirit of the day.

Independence Day Celebration

India’s 71^st Independence Day was celebrated by Sarvanaman Vidya Mandir with great enthusiasm and due patriotic fervour. The chief guest – Mr. Khumansinh Vansiya, ex-minister of Gujarat, was accompanied by the school principal and members of school management as he hoisted the national flag. School principal Mr. Govind Borade welcomed the chief guest and other dignitaries who graced the occasion. Cultural activities were held and the gathering was treated with spectacular musical feats. Speeches by a student and a teacher not only glorified the unsung heroes of Indian struggle for independence, but also threw light on various tasks to be undertaken by the present students who are the future citizens of the country. The programme concluded with the speech by the chief guest who spoke to the gathering about the sanctity of the occasion and the role to be played by the youth in furthering the development of independent India.
