SVM Students Shine Out in Annual Science Festival, Bharuch

In the Annual Science Festival organized by Narmadanagar Community Science Centre on 5th and 6th February, 2011 on the theme of “Science and Environment” the budding scientists of our school presented many creative ideas as exhibits. The Exhibits were creative and attractive and some were truly marvelous. The exhibition was inaugurated by Dr. Hari Om Vats, one of the prominent scientists of India. There were still models, working models, and projects.
Students of Sarvanaman Vidya Mandir bagged three Medals as they stood first in three events. Miss Shivani Patel (IX) got the first Prize in PowerPoint presentation on the theme of Solution to Clean Environment. Riya Panchal (IX) & Sarvangi Khanpara (VIII) won first prize in Open Science Exhibition with their wonderful model based on the theme of ‘Future Green City’. Also Aditi Makwana (IV) fetched glory to the school by bagging first prize in Oragami. The students received Cash Prize of Rs. 300/- each along with certificate of achievement. Miss Sanyamee Patel (IX) and Miss Riya Delhiwala (IX) represented the school in Rocket Model Making Workshop.
Such exhibitions have to be encouraged because students get an opportunity to present their ideas. New ideas grow in the minds of children. So exhibitions are opportunities where ideas will begin to bloom for the development of the world.

Gujarati Poem Recitation Competition 2010-11 (I – V)

Each year, little students from Class I to V come together to compete in poetry recitation contests — standing center of the stage with only a microphone and their memory.
It was a Gujarati Poem Recitation contest that took place on the very first day of February. About 20 students from class I to V took part in the competition and recited Gujarati poetry of all kinds from memory. The brilliant show put up by the participants also gave indications that the school gives balanced weightage to all the three languages ie, English, Hindi and Gujarati. Won’t you have a look at the rankers of the competition?
