Inter House Act an AD Competition

The advertisement coming in commercial breaks on TV are most widely and frequently cursed by the viewers as they break the tune and link of the programme they are watching. In other words, viewers hate advertisements and those commercial breaks!  But when a range of products were advertised by the students of Sarvanaman Vidya Mandir in Act an AD competition held on July 27, 2012, the viewers enjoyed them nothing less than great classics. Students made their own script on the products like shampoo, detergent powder, mobile and many others which were then enacted on the stage to reach out to the audience with sublime appeal made on either humorous plane or serious tone. Their appeal on social issues like ‘Saving the girl child’, ‘Anti-ragging’, ‘Caring for AIDS victims’ and such others directly made its way to the hearts of the audience.
Students exhibited their creativity, language skills and ability to co-ordinate that all are surely to play great role in their outlook.
The final results are given below:

Gurupoornima Celebration

Guru Purnima has got a lot of significance in the history of mysticism, religion and holiness. Hindus attach paramount importance to spiritual gurus. Gurus are often equated with God and always regarded as a link between the individual and the Immortal.
The festival of Guru Purnima, a day to celebrate and honour the guru, was held at Sarvanaman Vidya Mandir on Monday 2nd  July 2012.
The celebration commenced with a devotional prayer followed by Thakorji and Swamiji’s Poojan by P. Khandumama , Principal Mr. Govind Borade and other dignitaries. Students expressed their gratitude and respect for their teachers and mentor Didis by performing Guru Poojan.
The skits on the life  of Swami Vivekananda, and Lord Budhha were preformed to a great extent by the students of class VII and VIII. Incidences from the life of H.H. Hariprasadswamiji were gracefully narrated by the students. The dance act on a bhajan was the major pursuit of the event.
Students took hold of a very important message of being extremely faithful towards Guru’s commands from all the performances. The programme was marked with a blend of different presentations including bhajans, dances, dramas, video presentations, personal experiences and enlightening speeches.
