Gujarati Day Celebration

In an English Medium school, celebration of language days other than English becomes awfully joyous and pulsating event. Hence, the whole school was apparently vibrant as it celebrated 10th August, 2012 as Gujarati Day. Mrs. Poonam Patel, the senior Guajarati teacher of the school rigorously planned out the events for the day giving it all colours of Guajarati culture and literature. The morning assembly throbbed with a series of performances highlighting Gujarati language, customs and traditions. Anchored by Ranglo and Rangli- characters of traditional street-plays, the students presented speeches, poems, video-clips, enacted jokes, riddles and, above all, garba - popular Guajarati traditional  dance- with all its glimmer and enchantment. Almost all the display boards of the school offered shades of Gujarati culture and literature displayed so skillfully and in well organized way. Principal Mr. Govind Borade congratulated the teachers and the students for taking the most conducive approach of learning through doing while celebrating Gujarati Day.
